A big Hello from Sugar Creek Hollow!

I am so excited to be able to share this card with you today!!! The Sugar Creek Hollow Design Team and I have been working hard behind the scene creating cards to share with you for the Grand Opening. We couldn't resist holding back!! We want to share with you just a preview of what is to come.  I'm just as thrilled as can be to have been asked to be a Guest Designer for this Grand Opening and in March :)
Angel Sentiments 2

This card was made using the Angel sentiments 2 digi image ~ I just love the wording, a quote from Fanny Crosby!  I paired it with some browns and blues and creams to give it a "homespun" feel & added some addt'l elements to give it some texture.

Beautiful blue Irises in Bloom :)

Hello dear friends!  Today I bring you my final Sweet and Sassy card ~ it has been an absolute joy and honor to be a Guest Designer this month :)  Thank you so much Korin (and Lisa - you are an amazing woman!) for this most blessed opportunity to serve at SNSS!

I hope you've had the chance to view the Birthmonth Flowers collection at SNSS ~ if not, take a look hereThey are amazing stamps and I am already anxiously anticipating the months to follow!  I bring you the Iris stamp once again (the March flower is soon to make it's blog debut!) only this time I colored it in shades of blue with my prismamarkers.  Did you know that the one of the most striking colors of an iris bloom is blue?! There are very few true blue flowers, and the blue iris is one of them!

This was my first attempt at an easel card - bwahahahaha!   {Can you  believe this card took me 4 hours *eek!*  I was even on the phone with my wonderful friend Judy last night telling her "I'm still working on it - 4 hours later!" LOL!}  But it's really special - it's everything I wanted it to be and maybe a little more :*)
For the inside, I used the Love of a Friend stamp set, which is visible when the card opens or you rest it further back :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today - Blessings to you!
xoxoxo

Deets:  Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, PTI white cardstock:  DCWV Shimmery DSP; Stamps:  Birthmonth flowers, SNSS and Love of a Friend SNSS; Primacolor markers; Cuttlebug, nesties, flower punches, Fiskars border punch; Kaiser pearls; sheer white ribbon; 3D zots; Tombo

One sweet Award! :)

Our God is truly an amazing God!   I remember reading recently a scripture in Psalm (55:14) with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship as we walked with the throng at the house of God.  And truly life is so much sweeter with Him and that of our closest, most wonderful friends to guide us. It's always a blessing when we get to *meet* new friends via this vast computer world of ours, and Tracy is one of those inspiring, amazingly talented and wonderful ones I've met along the way!  I was  happily suprised to see my name on her blog for this very SWEET award!  Thank you so much, Tracy!  If you haven't had the chance to stop by her blog, make sure you do!  She has an amazing talent and creates with a vintage flair and her work has such a heart-warming & creative touch to it.  And she's opening her own store soon, Grand Opening in March, so keep an eye out :)

This award says to name 10 things that make me happy and chose 5 other Bloggers to pass this on to.
10 is a small number, truly! I could list 50, but will keep it short ;)

1.  My Heavenly Father, above all things
2.  My husband who is my best friend and the part that makes me whole - for all he does, for who he is, for who we are together .... <3
3.  My 4 children ~ girls, love you muchly! and little Tony, you will always have my heart, too <3
4.  My family - close by and extended
5.  My church & my faith and all those who share it with me!  (is that two? LOL!) ;)
6.  The gorgeous happy place I call my craftin' Cabana that my wonderful dh had built for me :)
7.  My 2 crazy dogs - the gettin' older grouchy Brandy and the new, crazier than life Buddy ..... you guys keep me young, lol
8.  Being on the Design Teams that I'm on and the most blessed opportunities I've been given!
9.  Starbucks!!! ( you knew that was coming, right?  LOL!)
10.  The Ocean ...... ah, such sweetness ......

It's just too hard to narrow down only 5 people to give this award away to, so I will give it in categories and hope you all add it to your blogs and pass it on!

To  The Sistahhood .... you all know how much I love you muchly and how much you all mean to me!  Each of you are superbly special and truly sweet friends!  Grab this up, and add it to your sidebars ;)  I don't need to name names, right?!  ..... Kare, Miche, Kadie, Cat, Lorie ..... ETC!!!!!!!!!!  *wink, wink, hugs!*

To  Carolyn at the BBB and Carmen especially for this time of worry - we're always here for you and Tim!  Carolyn for giving me a chance I never thought I'd see .......  you've enriched my life tenfold and graced me with an opportunity that has meant sooooo very much to me!  Love you muchly, too!

To  Imke & Sille, - for reminding me so much of  "home" on your blogs and bringing such happy memories to my life when I see your speciality cards and say those same words that I don't get to say to anyone here anymore (and for putting up with my really bad German, lol!  Sie sind etwas ganz besonderes für mich!!)

To  Joni for being one of the most amazing and generous and kind souls I've ever met!  And being a mom of 6 one top of all you do - you are so amazing and special to me!  Muah, hugs!

Pass on the love and let those around you know how SWEET they are!  Hugs & blessings!

SSCC #14 ~ 1 Peter 1:23

Good Morning!   This week at the SNSS Challenge blog, hostess PeggySue inspired us with the scripture of Peter:   1 Peter 1:23 says "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."   Since most seeds come up as tiny green shoots, she challenged us to use a spot of green on our cards ~ just a touch somewhere!

I am using the lovely stamp from SNSS that is available now in the store. It's called the Flowers of the Month and this is February, the Iris. You can find it here!  I'm also using the Sweet Stop Challenge sketch #40 provided for you this week - stop on over and see what the DT has made for you and play along!

For the card base, I used (for the first time!) soft grey from SU!, paired with a backing of Kiwi Kiss ~ I went with some grey/touch of green lucious papers from SEI.  I didn't originally plan to use lavender buttons, but pulled the colors from the flowers ;)     TFL and have a wonderful day!

Puppy Love :) { KLSNS #14 }

I'm so sad the weekend is officially over! I hope yours was wonderful! :-)

Just a quick post before I scoot to bed ~ this is a card I worked on this evening for the KLStampinnScrappin challenge #14 to use nesties, punches or dies.
I went the adorable Tilda with Puppy, one of my all time faves of the Magnolias! I paired up some Kiwi Kiss (SU) with Berry Sorbet (PTI) to match the AC paper that I've had for a little while now :) I used my cuttlebug to run it through the swiss dots folder, then the nesties to make the scallops for more texture. I also used my Fiskars punch to give a little dimension to the border where Tilda is sitting :) She's propped up in some 3D dots, added some ribbon & pearls & button and there you go!
TFL! Blessings!

I'm SEW Happy!! :)

I'm SEW happy to be home stamping on a Friday night - RARE and wonderful! :-) The girls are out at the movies and dh is playing with ds so it's a fun, mommy night in stampin' night for me! :-)
I made this card earlier today for Simply Scrapping Crafts - and yet after trying to load it most of the evening, I realize that I didn't photograph the INSIDE, lol! :::: shaking my head! :::: {I'll BBL with another view of that!}

This adorable image is from Inktegrity - it's Sew cute! This is a wonderful set designed by the sweet Joni ~ I love the sentiments that come along with this one, especially for our *threads* we are on at the SCS and how many wonderful friends we've made along the way joining a swap or two (or 50! Tee hee!) It's amazingly versatile and you can use it over and over again - make sure to stop by the shop!

I used this sketch provided by Simply Scrapping Crafts, a wonderful new site that I just found and am sew happy that I did! This is sketch #80 and then my card below it. I printed out Joni's digi image onto dsp along with the matching spool of thread and paper pieced it to the cuttlebugged image. It's hard to see the border under but it's a scalloped edge and I used the yummilicious new Valentine paper from Bo Bunny ~ Persusian and Persusion Blooms {my friend and I were LOL at the name - no persuading needed for us to scoop some of this up at the LSS the second it hit the shelf! ROFL!}

I wish you all a blessed and happy weekend! :)

SNSS Friday ~ Cuppa love!

Blessings on this Friday morning! Dh has the long 3 day weekend off (major curve ball to my stamping time, tee hee!) but I'm blessed! I'm already hearing the words "Breakfast" so I should appropriately show you this cup - not of coffee, but Eskimo love!
This is from the SNSS stamps called Eskimo Love. Awhile back, I found a site with templates on it and I knew I wanted to use the coffee mug for this card - it just has a wintery, warm you up, good feeling to it :) (I cannot find the site! I'm sorry! I'm still looking!) I printed out the template onto cardstock, cut it and then layered some DSP and covered it, like paper-piecing :) I added the line of pearls as an after thought - not too many cups with pearls, but it made for a wonderful addition to the card! I closed off the card with a small brad so I could slide a card tag inside :)
For the tag, I ran my vanilla cardstock through the cuttlebug using the snowflake folder & colored the Eskimo friends with prismacolor markers. Added some borders & sewn ribbon & button and it's ready to go! You can easily add in here a Gift Card as well - they both fit nicely together.
Make sure to head on over to SNSS - they have wonderful stamps for you to chose from and many are on sale ~ take a peek! TFL and have a terrific weekend!

It's a card- kit Extravaganza!

Happy Thursday!

I joined a swap on the SCS awhile back for card-kits and took a few spots ...... and I really did have a lot of fun. I can see why they are catchy! (AHEM, it's all Michelle's fault, the queen of image & card kits swaps, but we love her anyway, lol! Muah, muah, hugs, hugs Love ya girl!) I really dont' get the chance to stamp with some oldies but goodies anymore, so it was a real treat to bring out and dust off and stamp with some of my old faves! I always try to make an example so that whoever made receive it will at least have some idea how my brain was working when I put all the things together at the time ;)

This was my Stampavie spot: I went with some girly pink colors paired with brown (coffee, lol) I recently had a good friend tell me she absolutely cannot stand the new In Colors from SU, and I was devastated! I just LOVE THEM! I think they are my 2nd fave ever! So I really hope this kit is okay, whever it may land ..... it never occured to me that they might be too over the top for others .... but here it is, nonetheless! :)

And High Hopes! OOOOOH how I adore this stamp!! And having a 5 y/o little boy, this is totally a "gift" he would come bearing .... lol. Snakes, snails and puppy dog tails, right? I'll take a frog over a snake ANY DAY!!! I did struggle with this card ..... It just didn't roll onto paper the way I saw it in my head, but that's the beauty of a card kit - it's yours for playing with!

And the CC Designs spot: Miss Coffee Kiki La Rue which you met a few posts back with her spongy curlers and all, lol!

I hope to see you back tomorrow with a new SNSS card! :)

Blessings!

Making a SPLASH with scrapbooking :)

Hello friends ~ I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We were on the go but that's pretty typical around here! I did have a few stolen moments to work on some scrapbooking pages that were calling my name every since I met WALLY! He's one of the newest digital images from Inktegrity ~ and he can be yours, too! Right now, he's free with your purchase of $5.00 from the Inktegrity store! You can see him off to the right, on my sidebar :)

Hopefully you joined us on the blog hop, but if you didn't, make sure to stop by the blog and the DT blogs to see all the creations. I've used him here as a focal point to a simple scrapbooking page which was done in under 30 minutes - give it a try! He's the perfect addition to cards and scrapbooking and beyond!
In the summer, the kids and I like to visit our local seaquarium which is one of the local hot spots. It's tons of fun! But for them, the MOST fun is sitting in the SPLASH ZONE! Shamu (real name!) really cranks up a fantastic show w/ flips and splashes and to the tune of really great music. My kids know exactly where to sit to "get soaked" and as you can see from my daughter's face, it's a big hit! I was also happy to catch my little son waving as Shamu was getting ready to swim around ~ cuteness!

Thanks for stopping by and check back later on - I will have a card sample and sketch challenge for you from Fresh Brewed Designs!

You make my heart sing :)

Happy Friday! Aren't you glad it's Friday - I sure am! And a long weekend at that - yay! Today I bring you another card using a sentiment from the Melody of Love stamp set from SNSS . I followed this week's sketch over at the Sweet Stop Challenge #38 -- make sure to stop by so you can play along!
For this card, I used the delicious new Origins paper from Basic Grey - it is as dreamy as it looks if you've browsed the stores. I paired it with some coveted Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette and added the flowers, buttons and pearl scrolls to follow the sketch.
I'm actually experimenting with natural -vs- artificial lighting ... it's amazing what the difference it can make in a photo! The 2nd one down is actually truer the the colors IRL ;)

Happy Weekend, everyone!

It's the KLSNS Challenge #12 time!

*~*~*~*~* For the Inktegrity Blog hop, see the previous post!! :) *~*~*~*~*

Hi friends! I was so ecstatic to get my order from All that Scraps today and I tell ya, I think this lil stamp was inked up before the postman even left my driveway!! ;) This little cutie is Milo Puppy Love and the challenge was to use Pink, Black and a neutral color - I chose white ;) I was strumming around in the craftroom and pulled out my Basic Grey mat stack, chose some lovely pink papers and literally had this card done in under 30 minutes! I really wanted the stamp to be the center so I added some lively paper in the corners to accentuate it. It just came together nicely and will be heading out the door this week for a wonderful friend's birthday!

TFL and stop back in tomorrow for another SNSS card from the new line!

Deets: Cardstock: Basic Black, Hot Pink, white (CA); DSP - Basic Grey; stamp - Rachelle Anne Miller Puppy Love; colored with prismacolor markers; dew drops; SU Ribbon - rose; flowers by Bo Bunny & Prima, button by Bo Bunny, Tombo

It's the 6 month birthday INKTEGRITY blog-hop!

So glad you could stop by today for the party! Inktegrity is 6 month's young! And what a better way to celebrate than with a fun-filled, creative blog hop!

In honor of Inktegrity turning 6 months young this month, we wanted to celebrate with this month's new releases and some exciting news! If you arrived from talented Karen's blog, you are in the right place! You can find the beginning of the hop HERE! For this part of the hop, I've made two cards for you today showcaseing the most adorable digis: Wally the whale and Sammy the seal! Seriously ..... there could not possibly be anything cuter than these two .... so so cute!

First up is Wally the Whale ..... he's swimming by to let you all know that you are "Whale-y" good friends! I chose a semi-fold card to sort of hide what's waiting inside until it's opened :) It really showcases this superbly adorable image, nestled in his ocean waves and cuttlebugged bubbles!

And his good friend Sammy the Seal is also here for the party! He is also one of the new releases to be released tomorrow! As you've seen around the hop, he comes with a beautiful bow and Sammy must have partied a little too hard so he has a smaller bow for you today ;)

Now here's the exciting news: Comment on my blog and the blogs listed below, and you will be entered to win Wally the Whale from each of us! Yes, that means you have 13 chances to win: 11 DT blogs and 2 special friends who won the Mikey contest join us in the blog hop. Wally can be seen on some of these blogs so you'll have the opportunity to meet him along the way. Now head on over to LJ's blog to see her beautiful card, then end at the Inktegrity blog for one lucky winner to receive ALL 3 new images on this release, which will be available tomorrow in the store. Happy hopping and thank you for joining us in this little birthday party!

Deets: Cardstock is from SU (Pacific Point, Cool Caribbean & SEI texture paper); dsp = Doodlebug; Stamps: Inktegrity's Wally and Sammy; Fiskars punch, ric-rac, aqua dew drops, circle, scalloped and label nesties; 3D dots, Tombo

Every day should be a SNOW Day! :)

Oh, Let it Snow! :)

In my heart, I see the snow swirling around me with it's beauty, creating a winter wonderland! But here in the tropics, paper and ink are the closest I can get :) Using the SNSS set that was released yesterday called Love You This Much, I made this card for a very special friend :) This lovely set comes with sentiments for you to chose from: Love you this much and Let it Snow. This is another hand-stitched ribbon to fasten it to the card and from the side, a little 3D pop up effect.

I'm super excited to know that my SNSS flower for March is on the way! I can't wait to ink it up for my bff Michelle's themed "your birth month" swap in the SOTC! Although it will not look like the truly gifted artist Miss Lorie .... have you seen THIS! Just positively BEAUTIFUL in every possible way ..... what a true gift you are to all of us, Lorie! {{{{ 's }}}}
I'll be back tomorrow with one last card for the week and then it's R & R for me!

Although I *did* have 3 cards prepared for you, you will only see only 2 (and a half!) I have to laugh as this seems to be my week for silliness! I was putting the finishing touches my card and of course, fumbled a marker I was putting the lid back on and dropped it right smack in the middle of my card - on the image that I had just freshly colored and coated with glaze .... ack! :(

First my first card above, I made a 5 x 5 card using Kissy, Kissy. Sweet, huh? I am in love with my Doodle Around pack from DCWV and this Valentine shimmery dsp was a perfect match to this darling image. It was wonderful to color up! I paired it with a scrap of left over IMME, using a scallop edge punch to give it some definition. I hand-sewed the big button and ribbon together and then onto the card so it should stay put. For me, that's huge. Mom has the sewing gene, I have the crafting bug ;)

Next, I have an improvised card to show you since my "We got together like Cookies and Milk" image is now a marked up image. Hence, I give you ..... CUPCAKES! Can you believe I actually dreamed this one up? No .... not the cupcakes! The layout! ROFL!! I was in bed one night, jumped up and jotted it down and voila! I found these delish Love Me Do papers at my LSS and bought them all {that's the hard part about delish double sided papers! You NEED both sides!} The cupcake is called With a Cherry on Top and the sentiment is one that I just came up with an added ..... which says a lot.... I love me some cupcakes ;)

Lastly, this one from my little son, who does not like to color. In preschool, he hurries up and does his coloring so he can have the empty, reverse side of the paper do anything else with! He was sitting beside me making his own Milk & Cookies image "for my best mommy" - awww! Then he attached it to a piece of cardstock, glued down a pencil and said it was a card for me :) Is that not the sweetest!! And I just LOVE the card - all wonky, glue peeking out and all. It's PERFECTION :) and in case you were wondering, his "milk" is white puffy paints for t-shirts. Ingenious! And I humbly thank you because I had to add his beauty to the card line-up :) :::: proud mommy moment! ::::

Remember to keep on hopping - you just might be a big winner! TSM for stopping by today!

Blessings!

Challenge for KLSNS11 - It's a New Year!

And this is pretty much what I looked like the day after ..... rofl! Just kidding .... I never had curlers in my hair unless they were hot rollers back in high school - 'membah big puffy hair!?!

I made this for the kick-off challenge at KL Stampin .... check it out here! I had so much fun making this card and using the sketch. I actually bought this CC Design stamp - she's Kiki La Rue - months ago and it had yet to see ink although I loved it the second I saw it .... isn't that funny how we are that way!

Here is the sketch:

It's hard to see from my sad little camera and it's washed out colors that this is super colorful. I propped up her little rollers on 3d dots because all rollers should be puffy and springy, lol! I also fluffled up the flowers to give the card more dimension. I added the flowers behind the image for the sketch requirement and fastened them with a button. I have to say, I am liking the way this turned out and it will makes it's way to the home of a friend this week ..... I hope she likes it, too :)

Hugs!

Deets: Cardstock: Mambo Melon & Crushed Curry from SU, White Cardstock from MFT - Whipped Cream, Stamp - KiKi La Rue, CC Designs; paper from American Crafts collection; Momento Ink, colored with prismacolor markers; flower punches, dew drops, Tombo, Cutterpede, cutterbug nesties, BG Button, Prima flowers, 3d dots
