Vintage Floral Flourishes ;)

Good morning friends! I hope today brings you blessings abudant ~ it's dipped to "chilly" weather here today and I'm as happy as a penguin! ;)  (chilly being in the 50's .... but it *is* Miami!)

This card was one that was both a vision (thought of it while doing laundry), scribbled it down in my pad and then made it come to life, so to speak! It's the first time I'm trying paper rolling - need to work on that a bit, but it sure was fun and a wonderful creative outlet!  I inked up the corners of the papers to match the whole ensemble .... did a paper tole for the flowers to give it more dimension & colored them to match as well.   This image is from Sugar Creek Hollow - have you stopped by?  Make sure you do!  The Grand Opening is just right around the corner on March 1st - and this image (Flourishes) will be one of the ones available to you :)

This is also my entry for the challenge at Saturday Spotlight:  Hidden Potential ~ this week's challenge was to use household items!  How creative is that - recycling at it's absolute best!  I had a pack of paper doilies for coasters and inked up one of those to use as a backdrop, and that gorgeous satin ribbon was one that came on a big box of Valentine's chocolates!  I wouldn't dream of throwing it away and can't believe a day later it came in handy for  this card!  (see!  Moral of the story: Chocolates are good for you!!  Tee hee!

It's also for The Pink Elephant Challenge #54 to use Ribbon,
and Little Red Wagon Challenge #16 to use .... ribbon! :)

TFL and blessings to all!

You are so clever to take the photos outside in your "chilly" weather --- ;) No, really, it makes a lovely presentation.
