Bazinga!

Happy Friday!

Are you ready for the weekend?!
Hopefully you have lots of fun plans
and are enjoying the start to summer :)

My card today is from the fun Bazinga! stamp set from The Project Bin,
a super fun source for snappy sentiment stamps!
The wonderful thing about A Way With Words stamps from TPB
is they are unique and stand out in the crowd ~
offering fun sayings that you don't see often in the stamping world...
like this one from Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory tv show!

My card today is a great use of two things:
scraps that were in my ever growing 'use me' pile
and dry embossing only a partial part of the cardstock.
You can see it a little better in the close up.

In previous attempts at using an embossing folder and the cuttlebug,
it would leave small 'lines' on the outside of the area dry embossing
or cover the entire area that was going through the cuttlebug,
leaving the 'roped off' area with again - those lines!
I wanted a cleaner, crisper look
where just a small portion of the cardstock is embossed.
I acheived this with good 'ol fashioned elbow grease!  LOL!
I added the A2 size PTI heavy weight cardstock to the embossing folder,
used a bone folder and just rubbed and rubbed and rubbed!
Ta-da!

 Super fun end result!
What I love so much about this card is the bright pops of colors
against the white and the contrast it gives the image :)
My card is actually a similiar CASE to one I saw a year ago on Pinterest
and it stuck with me ~ but can't find to create the OP ~ apologies!
Hopefully this one will inspire you, too!

You can find this fabulous stamp set and many others in the store.
For more ways to use this stamp set, check out the gallery on TPB blog,

Have a fabulous weekend, everyone!

Let's Travel!

 Hi friends!

It's time for another exciting challenge at The Ink Spot
and this week's theme is: Travel!

For my card today, I'm channeling my little guy who just left for
an 8 day Boy Scout adventure camp in Georgia :)
He's only 11, and it was a BIG STEP for us to let him go,
but he was going out of his mind with excitement for this trip!
Mommy needed to be a little brave, LOL :)
We've gotten word that he is having the time of his life,
as we knew he would ♥
From the merit badges and classes he's taking,
and the fun 'down time' with hiking, swimming, boating, etc - he's in his glory!

I had him in mind as I made this two part traveling card,
starting on the front outside and finishing on the inside ♥
There is a total of 4 Riley and Company stamps on this card!

The front of the card uses Hiking Riley
and the "I am" from the Inspirations sentiment - which is a wonderful way to mix and match your FunnyBones and Inspirations stamps!
Tbe inside features the brave sentiment stamp ~
along with Campfire Riley stamped and colored :)

To see what the rest of the DT created this week with the travel theme,
stop by The Ink Spot blog!

And don't forget to check out the monthly club kits!
But wait - there's more!
Each Wednesday is a "Wacky Wednesday" flash sale -
and Friday Favorites!
So many ways to save, stamp and get inky!! :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their summer!
I'll be home stamping - all week! :)

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

DDD: Pets! ♥

Hi friends!

I'm slowly getting back to crafting/blogging after a chaotic end of school,
graduation, a 3 day blur of a weekend of activity,
and now the week long wonders of VBS!
By this time next week,
I'll be back to my routine and knee deep in markers, glue, paper, ink!

And today is the 15th!
And on my blog, that means it's the post between the Divas + the Dazzlers
and our friendly duel this month is .......... Pets!
Darlene and LJ were the hostesses for the DDD this month
and they came up with a wonderful, sweet theme.
For me, that is a love so strong and faithful in our home -
we love our fur babies just like one they are one of the kids ♥

LJ sent us the fabulously fun kit to work with ~
and ooooh did I oogle this image when I saw it in social-media-land!
*swoon!*
I love, love, LOVE this adorable pup from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
I colored the image with prismacolor markers, popped it up with 3D foam,
and used a ribbon and the kraft banner to give it some character ...
I added the matching sentiment to the inside of the card :)

Be sure to stop in and see what the rest of the Divas and Dazzlers
have created with the PETS theme -
you can find them right in my blog side bar!

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

3M - You bring color to my life ♥

Hello friends!

Today is the last day of school
and then it will be officially SUMMER! ♥
The kids are excited and I confess, so am I :)
My last 'baby' graduated elementary school yesterday -
hard to believe this young man is off to middle school.

And I'm reallllly excited to have the kids home for summer,
even if they will be mostly dashing in and out.
I'm totes planning on catching up on sleep, cards, and not driving all day! :)

It's also the 9th of the month,
the day the 3 Musketeers post our cards.
Jeanette was our hostess for this round
and sent us this darling Painter Meg from Stamping Bella.
I've seen it around in blogland before
and it was just as every bit delightful to color is in person.

  Painter Meg is just adorable!
I paired it with summery bright papers,
and added the matching stamp sentiment to the inside of the card ↓

What a beautiful saying ♥

Barb and Jeanette have also made a card with this image ~
be sure to stop on by and see what they've made, too!

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

Show your pride!

Hi friends!

There's only 58 more days until the summer Olympics in Rio
Such an exciting time to see the young athletes that have trained long and hard, dedicating so many hours to their sports make it this far.
And I always get a little teary eyed watching the running with the torch :*)

My card today is one showcasing soccer Riley,
ready for the field in his Team USA jersey!
The challenge at The Ink Spot this week: Show your pride!

We are HUGE European soccer fans in our home,
and also a house divided :)
My husband is always rooting for Spain
while I'm always cheering on Germany!
In fact, during the FIFA World Cup,
our home gets absolutely bananas with being glued to the tv,
cheering on our teams, and in his case - tears of defeat, hee hee!
I jest :)

In the spirit of celebrating our athletes right here in our hometowns,
I stamped/colored up soccer Riley with a patriotic, team USA feel.
So many of us 'soccer parents' are/have spent countless hours
cheering for our children as they played on fields at local parks and schools,
and even watched them go on to play at colleges and professionally.

To all the athletes, I applaud you ♥

Be sure to stop on by The Ink Spot
and check out all 6 places you can shop!

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

3M - Hot Java Mamas!

Happy Friday!

This year, I set out craft 3 goals that I wanted to try :)
I try to find small ways to challenge myself to step outside my box,
reach beyond my comfort zone and have fun in the process!

The 1st crafty goal I set for myself was to try my hand at water coloring,
I had so much fun, and have made several more cards since then,
soon to be blogged.

My 2nd crafty goal was to learn to use my prismacolor markers
in order to color people of color ♥
Truthfully, I'm a novice and blending any color turns out just awful,
so it's easier for me to just grab shades of peach
or my ONE COPIC marker, lol, in E00.
But I wasn't happy with that, and wanted to showcase that
all of God's children are beautiful,
no matter what spectrum of the rainbow shade of skin

My 3M card today is inspired by just that ~
a group of friends, meeting for coffee, chatting, laughing!
It's no secret that I'm a huge Starbuck-er
and when my busy schedule lets up,
I meet my friends there for java and catching up,
just like these 4 lovely gals!
(though in my case the only thing HOT is my coffee!) :P

Jeanette and Barb are two of those very special friends,
though we haven't met for coffee in real life (YET!)
I was up for hostessing and thought this
Girlfriends Blend image would be a fun one to create with.
My card channels the vivid colors and tropical feel of Miami with the SU! dsp,
and lots of layers, enamel dots and the fun matching AI sentiment.
This java mamas image is from the fresh and fun Art Impression stamps
which, if you haven't seen them around in the stamp world,
are an absolute RIOT!!
My local Hobby Lobby just got in the new AI people
and I was thrilled to scoop up 2 new stamp sets ... *yay!*

I still have my 3rd crafty goal to try - stay tuned!
It's only June, I've got some time still :)

Thanks for stopping by today!
May your weekend be filled with friendship and smiles!

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly
